November started off with a brisk run through NYC for Ron. Unfortunately, he pulled a muscle within the first mile and a half but managed to finish somehow.
Next we hosted a barbecue for the System analysts that work with Michael and their families. Foozball proved very popular.
Then Maki came to visit. She and Michael last saw each other over 18 years ago and finally managed to meet again. We took her on the typical initial tour of Portland, visiting the Multnomah Falls, Crown Point (where it was so windy that we gave up trying to stand outside the car after nearly being blown down several times in the just a couple of minutes), the Saturday Market, the waterfront and the Salmon Street Springs. A VERY full 1/2 day!
Next came a second trip to OMSI to see the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, SUE. We also enjoyed the many other activities there, especially if there was an opportunity to get wet.
We're planning a very casual Thanksgiving and then Aaron's birthday is at the end of the month. We're will have a small party for him but it will probably be at the beginning of December. We did have a little party for Aaron in his daycare class at Learning Years. Joey came over from his class to enjoy the cake.
