East Coast Trip

Partially due to the minor disaster of having my hard drive crash without a recent backup, I haven't put any new pictures on the web for quite a while.  Well, starting with others sending me some pictures and then a couple of trips, I finally have critical mass to add a new page.

First there's a picture from Joey's birthday party that was still on my flash card when my hard drive crashed.

Next our boys and the Snyder boys intently watching the Justice League movie.  They all love superheroes and plan to go into that line of work when they grow up.

Julie Ehrman then sent us a picture of Ron and his fiancé, Jamie, which was nice as we had never met in person at that point.  Grace and Olivia's dad sent us a picture he took at the Daddy and me celebration on the Friday before Father's day.

Next we took a little day trip to Cannon beach.  An incredible amount of car traffic for such a small town but we had a lot of fun on the beach and walking around the town.  And later in June, a day of cold weather could not dissuade the boys from a picnic on the front porch.

Jon joined us in NYC as we met him and Rona and Jamie for dinner right after getting to town.  The next day we took the subway to visit Vered (Blitzer) Assa who's living in New York for the time being and recently had her first son, Tomer.  Her mother Ruthie was there too and it was great as they had never met Pam or the kids in person and I hadn't seen them in almost 15 years.  We passed by the hole that used to be the World Trade Center on the way and then took a little Tiyul along the Hudson river to a nice little park where the boys enjoyed playing in the water and sand.

The next day we visited the Eisenbergers and finally met Miriane and Seth in person.  It was a short visit but we did go to a playground and the boys had a lot of fun.

Next it was a couple of days in Queens, just in time for cousin Benjamin's birthday party!  A wild, raucus time for the boys, who decided to dance on the stage in the nearby mall since it was available at the time.

Then we were off to Pennsylvania to stay with Grandpa David and Grandma Sandy.  The boys also went to the summer camp that's held at Hemlock farms and like it much better than day care because they weren't forced to take a nap.   Pam and Michael made some daytime sightseeing trips while the boys were in camp and then Ron and Jamie and their friend Bill.

On July 5 (which was a convenient Saturday), Ira, Stacy, Scott and Derek along with Artie, Bea and JT joined us for a nice barbecue, a little swimming and a lot of catching up.  Then after they headed back to Rockland, Mom and the dogs took Joey, Aaron and Michael to one of the best Fireworks shows we've ever seen just down the road from David and Sandy's house by one of the lake's in Hemlock Farms.

We also got to have dinner with Bob and Gail Rosenburg who drove over from Middletown.  I can't remember the last time we saw them in person but we had a great time and the kids couldn't wait to play with the puzzle book and games they gave them.

The trip back was a bit of a pain since the Continental Airlines staff at Newark airport was incompetent, to put it mildly.  But we got back in time for Pam to do a little traeling for Intel and then Mike followed suit as soon as Pam returned.

Next update look for pictures from Michael's trip to India and the 'Old Gang' get together in August!
