Sukkoth through Pesach

The past six month in brief: We ended September at the Zucker Sukkoth then ended October at the Lockhart First annual pumpkin picking event.  The end of November had us celebrating Aaron's seventh birthday followed by a ceremony at Schull in which the First Graders receive a Torah-type scroll.  We closed the year out with a 2004 Family Update Newsletter and a trip to LA to see Pam's family, some friends and try (in vain) to get our paperwork in order for this summer's upcoming trip to Israel.

Near the beginning of the new year the boys took some photographs of their classmates and worked on their superhero skills and producing their first two movies Super Thunder Ninjas and Super Thunder Ninjas II now available on DVD if you ask nicely and I'm in a good mood.

Pam and Michael have been taking turns doing an unpleasant amount of traveling for work (which included Michael trying some rock-wall climbing and Jungle Canopy walking in Penang, Malaysia) but found time in March to both be home for Joey's birthday and the Chinese Speech contest (in which all four students decided to tell a story about Sumul Kong, the ancient Chinese Monkey superhero with a magical staff that fits in his ear.)

Freaky weather has been the norm this year, with a super mild winter followed by a spring in which we've had hailstorms several times.  But with the arrival of April, the weather's starting to calm down (still raining a bunch though.) Just in time for the entire Didner Clan to come to Oregon for Passover.  We also got almost an hour of family tennis in before Michael ripped his Lateral Meniscus in the left knee, which had just finished recovering from ACL repair surgery in October 2004.  It's already been operated on and Michael's on the road to re-recovery.

As always, please drop us a note letting us know how you're doing at didner@yahoo.com.  Really, we would like to know.  Or just let us know if you appreciate getting these e-mails or would like off the list.  Thanks!
