Aaron's birthday through Joey's birthday

November always gets pretty busy near the end of the month as we celebrate Aaron's birthday and Thanksgiving.  This year Chanukah followed that closely.  We had a party for Aaron at home and just relaxed at home for Thanksgiving.  After lighting the candles for the first night of Chanukah we headed to Yong-In Tae Kwon Do Dojong where there was a holiday pot luck.

It got quite cold this winter and the boys decided to play basketball in the garage.  We also experienced the snow storm of the decade and were home-bound for three days before the streets were clear enough to travel.

Next up was experimentation time!  Copying an experiment described in one of our very favorite series of books, Captain Underpants, we built a volcano using baking soda and vinegar.

Pam was eligible for her sabbatical last year and finally took it this winter.  So we celebrated Chinese New Year a little early and then Pam spent three entire weeks with her family in Taiwan.  When she returned we had the Fishman family down for a visit.

Though Joey felt as if would never arrive, March finally roared in and we celebrated his birthday at the USA gym with many, many friends.

Finally, Michael, Aaron and Joey all got their Yellow belts (unfortunately I only had the film camera with me so those pictures will come later),  This might seem confusing since Aaron already had an orange belt from the over a year ago at the previous Tae Kwon Do school but that one was pretty lax in standards Compared to our Master Ha and this yellow belt represents a much greater accomplishment that all the previous work.

Next up is Passover with the entire family here.  Look for pictures in a month!
